
Savory Sweet Potato & Sausage Stuffing
A hearty stuffing with sausage and sweet potatoes
Ingredients
- 1½ cups Princella Cut Sweet Potatoes, cubed (1 – 15 oz can, drained)
- 1 lb sausage, browned (pork or turkey)
- 4 cups cubed bread (day-old preferred)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a skillet, cook sausage and onion over medium heat until sausage is browned; drain excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage mixture with bread cubes and Princella Sweet Potatoes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and add sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Gently toss until evenly moistened.
- Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until golden and heated through.
- Serve warm as a hearty Thanksgiving side dish.
